As Airship’s Vice President and Opportunity Explorer, I lead the team that engages with prospects and clients to help determine if our software design and development services would be valuable to them. Additionally, we seek a culture fit with our clients that helps to ensure successful outcomes. When working with clients or prospects, my team helps craft an engagement that best serves clients needs. I have ultimate responsibility for client relationships and always act as a client advocate.
My professional background in engineering, operations, product development, customer service, and sales allows me to connect with client teams on multiple levels. My industry experience includes professional services, software, computer technology, manufacturing, and construction.
Prior to Airship I served in senior leadership roles in manufacturing and sales. I worked with well known companies like; Alabama Power, RR Donnelley, Yamaha, Protective Life, John Deere, The Southeastern Conference (SEC), and Honda. I have international sales and distribution experience that spans most of my career. I have experience as an entrepreneur and have worked as an employee of a large company with billions of dollars in annual sales.
My professional education includes a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from Auburn University and a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Samford University. Additionally, I have several professional training certifications in leadership, sales, and operational performance.
My wife (Morgan) and I have lived in Birmingham now for many years and have enjoyed raising our two young and energetic boys here. I am a member of Church of the Highlands and enjoy leading Christian small groups. Morgan and I love the restaurant scene here in the Magic City and on weekends you can often find us visiting one of our many favorites. The entire family loves outdoor activities, and therefore both appreciate and frequent our local city and state parks. Our kids participate in youth sports and we all have a lot of fun with those activities.
