I am Paulo Filho, a Senior Front End Engineer at Airship with a specialization in React Native. I was born and raised in Brazil and have always had a passion for both sports and technology. I started my journey in tech when I was around 8 to 10 years old and started learning programming languages like BASIC in a Tk-85. A few years later, I went to a tech high school and began playing basketball, which has remained one of my passions to this day.
Outside of work, I enjoy staying active and participating in sports like lifting weights, hiking, and Jiu Jitsu. Jiu Jitsu is one of my passions and something that I have been practicing for many years. It is a martial art that has taught me discipline, focus, and the importance of hard work. I find it to be a great way to stay in shape and relieve stress, and I believe that the skills I have learned through Jiu Jitsu have helped me in all aspects of my life. I am also passionate about nutrition and biology and can talk about these topics for hours on end.
My ultimate goal is to live “off the grid” in a self-sufficient homestead while continuing to work remotely as a software engineer. I am passionate about learning new skills and coding and have been interested in AI and automation since the 90s. I believe that AI is here to help us and I am excited to see what the future holds.
In my free time, I like to stay informed about the latest technological advancements, including NeuralLink. While I believe that AI is here to help us, I also have a plan in case things go wrong and I need to rely on my Jiu-Jitsu skills to face any cyborgs.
